    Welcome to The Alger Sullivan Historical Society! This site is a tribute to the foresight and preparation by the founders of our town in establishing a planned sawmill community that has lasted decades longer than first expected. This has to be because of the character of the people who first came here to seek their livelihood and make this their home.
